Transparency, Governance

& Sustainability

ABPI upholds a transparent, participatory governance model committed to institutional integrity, guided by collegial decision-making and the collaborative work of the Board of Directors, the Executive Committee, the Study Committees, and the Regional Chapters.

This structure ensures the Association remains faithful to its mission of advancing Intellectual Property in Brazil, always guided by ethics, diversity, and responsibility.

In 2025, ABPI held new elections, appointing the leadership that will take office for the 2026–2027 term—reaffirming its commitment to institutional renewal and the continuity of participatory management.

The active presence of institutional members—law firms, companies, and organizations of national and international relevance—strengthens ABPI’s financial sustainability while expanding technical and scientific exchange across sectors.
This diversity of perspectives provides ABPI with a plural, innovative, and collaborative ecosystem prepared to face contemporary IP challenges.

Management &

Institutional Infrastructure

The new ABPI headquarters in Rio de Janeiro, inaugurated a year ago, has established itself as a space for integration and networking.
Located in a safe and easily accessible area, the headquarters has begun hosting meetings of the Study Committees, meetings of partner entities, and technical events, strengthening the physical and symbolic presence of the Association in the capital of Rio de Janeiro.
The ABPI headquarters in São Paulo is also prepared to host meetings and events.

Commitment to

Sustainability & Inclusion

In 2025, ABPI reaffirmed its commitment to environmental and social sustainability.
The 45th International Congress of ABPI was a milestone, adopting carbon-offsetting and strategies to reduce the event’s environmental impact—aligning ABPI with strong ESG practices.

ABPI also advanced digital accessibility, implementing website tools for font size adjustment, Brazilian Sign Language (Libras) translation, and text-to-speech—making content more inclusive and accessible.

These initiatives reflect ABPI’s lasting commitment to a sustainable, ethical, and inclusive future—where solid governance, transparency, and innovation go hand-in-hand with social responsibility and the strengthening of Brazil’s IP community.
